Offering A Variety of Health Services
Designed to Meet Your Unique Needs

Some of our patients seek treatment primarily for psychological reasons — they're depressed or anxious or having relationship issues. Others have some kind of medical issue — they're going through menopause, having sexuality issues, or suffering from pelvic pain.

Sometimes a patient's stress and anxiety is the cause of medical problems. Likewise, some of our patients have medical problems that they need help managing psychologically.

We offer a variety of physical and mental health services designed to improve our patients' relationships and quality of life.

At Integrated Healing Associates, counseling and health care go hand-in-hand. Through the prevention, assessment, and treatment of a variety of mental and physical problems, the services we provide support your mental and physical health and can contribute to your complete wellbeing.

Integrated Healing Associates is available to evaluate and provide treatment for numerous issues, including (but not limited to):

  • Individual and Couples Counseling
  • Adolescent Counseling

Our integrative treatment programs benefit those experiencing the issues above, as well as other stress-related physical conditions.

Our services are available for individual men and women, couples, and adolescents.

Treatment may be initiated by the patient, a concerned family member, or by another health care professional.

Services may include collaboration with the patient's other health care provider(s) or a referral to a health care specialist, according to each patient's needs and personal treatment plan.

How to Get Started

Scheduling an initial consultation is the first step on the road to wellness. (Depending on the issues you're facing, you may be asked to fill out a questionnaire before or during your first appointment.)

Next, either Dr. Mary Ann Miner or Dr. Nancy Marx will discuss with you any pertinent information regarding your health, day-to-day activities, habits, and other issues in order to clarify your experiences and concerns. (If it seems that contacting one or more of your medical care providers would be helpful, you will be asked to sign a release form.)

During this process, you should decide if you and the associate you're working with are a "good fit." If not, please feel free to express this directly so appropriate referrals may be offered.

If you and the associate you're consulting with believe you can work together, a course of treatment will be discussed and agreed upon.

The number of sessions, length of treatment, and treatment plan depend on your individual needs. You are in charge and all decisions are made as a result of collaboration between you and your medical care providers.

Your confidentiality is protected at all times and no contact is made, or information shared, without your written consent.

Information about fees will be discussed with you when you call for information or to schedule an appointment.

There's no need to wait until a problem becomes unbearable at 3:00AM some morning! Please contact us today and don't hesitate to ask any questions you have. You may reach Nancy Marx, Ph.D., at 650-562-1904, or Mary Ann Miner, M.D., at 650-348-9800.
