Nancy Marx, Ph.D.
 A seasoned and dedicated licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Marx specializes in helping clients suffering from eating disorders, mood disorders, and obsessive compulsive disorder. She works with men and women, adolescents and adults, and provides consultation to other clinicians.
Dr. Marx has extensive training in Object Relations, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which she uses to create an integrated treatment approach. She also collaborates with physicians, nutritionists, and other health professionals whenever necessary to establish effective treatment teams.
Dr. Marx focuses on empowering individuals and helping them establish constructive means for coping and adapting to the world in order to facilitate effective, positive, and lasting change. She also focuses on strengthening one's sense of self so that her clients can ultimately feel deserving of, and experience, joy and fulfillment in relationships and life in general.
Dr. Marx utilizes the initial evaluation session to determine an effective treatment plan that meets the needs of the individual patient. She uses a collaborative style in her work with clients and establishes specific goals for treatment. Periodic assessments are made throughout the course of therapy to determine whether or not the patient feels these goals are being achieved.
